Low Key New Years Eve

We celebrated ringing in 2010 in a low key fashion this year. You know how it is when you've got kids and the going out days are behind you! It was a fun evening hanging out with the VanNoy/Smiths, the Qualls, Nana & Juan and Ileana. Of course the kids were exhausted by 11:00pm so we rang in an East Coast New Year with the Jersey Shore cast on MTV! Don't act like you don't watch that trian wreck!!

Nothing says god family fun like Mexican BINGO played for money! Some of the kids tried to play for cookies, but Aunt Ness was a cash only collector!

Dinner with the Kinfolk

Dinner with our parents on our birthday has become an annual tradition. Good thing we had Sal, Jason and a bottle and a half of wine to lighten the mood this time! It also never fails that as a high school teacher, we run into one of Vanessa's students current or former. Thanks Eddie for making our birthday dinner great! If you have a special occasion or just because stop by Macaroni Grill on Beltline and Midway and ask for him! Happy Birthday Vanessa if I had to pick someone to share a birthday with for the past 31 years it would totally be you!

A Relaxing Day at the Park

The best part of both Sal and I staying home during the winter holiday is getting to spend time with the kids. We had a good time going to the park and playing with their new remote control cars. They of course met up with some new friends who had a new rocket launcher toy. It got cold too soon for the grown ups and we had to head home. It was fun while it lasted!

31st Birthday Celebration

Saturday, Vanessa and I celebrated our 31st birthday. We started out with dinner at Cuba Libre (www.cubalibredallas.com) and the headed to the Backdoor Comedy Club (www.backdoorcomedy.com) It was a fun night with family and friends! Thanks to all who came out to help us celebrate!

The Backdoor Comedy Club was pretty decent, although Bri was a lot funnier. Good thing Paul Varghese was the final act. He made the show totally worth it!
